I had the absolute joy of teaching at New Hope Fine Arts Camp this past week! We dove into digital art, exploring brush effects, layers, color theory, and the time machine magic of the undo button!

In design, you get one first impression- it’s the span of a few seconds (at most), and it means everything.

It was a joy to connect with the next classes of talented designers & share what I’ve learned in the “real world” post-grad. It was fun to bring my 𝘋𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘎𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱 concept to life by stewarding my knowledge, and these students asked some great questions!

I'll admit: a few years ago, I don't think I could have hopped on this “don’t gatekeep” trend. I was protective of my craft, until I realized that made my goal of teaching the world how to design practically impossible. The true power of design lies in balance between gatekeeping and stewardship.
